To set out skiing for the day, you walk out of the Taluswood complex, cross the road, put your skis on and ski down to the last few hundred yards of the Dave Murray run, at the bottom of which is situated the Creekside Gondola, the cognoscenti's preferred way of getting up the mountain i

n Whistler. When you want to come back at the end of the day, you simply take the Taluswood ski-in trail all the way to the bottom, and you can ski right into the hot tub if you are not careful.

Are there any disadvantages to this accommodation? Well it is a little way up the hill, and the street (Nordic Drive) is not served by public transport, so you will need a car or a cab to go shopping, or to sample one of Whistler's legendary restaurants, but otherwise it might be an excellent location for a Whistler holiday.
