Many people are already familiar with the tanning towelette concept, which was initially developed in Australia by Tan Towel, and later introduced to the US in the late 1990's. Tanning towelette products have become increasingly popular throughout the years as more and more consumers are trying to avoid the sun's harmful rays and the risk of skin cancer.
Tan Towel, the first and original company to develop a self tanning towelette, has recently introduced several new products to its existing line. The latest products from these self tanning innovators include Tanning Mist, On The Glow Face, and On The Glow Body.
Tan Towel has become a dominant player in the sunless tanning market by offering products that promise to "not streak, stain, or turn you orange.” They accomplish this by adding DHA, or dihydroxyacetone, as the active ingredient in their tanning products, but without adding any additional dyes or stains, unlike most self tanners.
According to Kendall Harper, a self tanning enthusiast from California, products like On The Glow and Tanning Mist "deliver incredible results.” Harper says she has enjoyed self tanning towels for several years now, and likes to alternate between shades for lighter or darker tanning, depending upon the time of year. Harper also adds, "with these new products, I am now using a tanning mist on some days, and towelettes on others, but the face and bo
Tanning Mist works similarly to self tanning towels, in that it does not contain any stains or dyes, and quickly absorbs in the skin so self tanning lovers can get dressed right away. As with other Tan Towel products, it has "a light citrus scent that dissipates within minutes.”
The new On The Glow products for the face or body act as daily moisturizers, but ones which contain DHA and Erythrulose, which will enhance the skin's color slowly, and without added stains or dyes. Tan Towel recommends daily use of On The Glow for a week in order to achieve a noticeable change in skin tone, of up to one full shade. On The Glow for the face also includes Retinol, which can be effective in anti-aging and rejuvenating the skin.
