I was reading one of the stories the Barbarians used to tell. It is not the first time I read this story, nor is it the first time I read this translation of the story, but I am always finding more wisdom in these things. These Barbarians had it right!
The story reads "So Odin set out for Jotunheim. He didn't have to wear a disguise. He just thought differently and he looked different"
WOW! I almost fell over when I read this. How many times have you seen someone who looked different. They had just got married, got a divorce, fell in love, got a promotion, got a new job they loved (fill in whatever you want) and they looked different. I bit more spring in their step. A bit more confidence in their demeanor.
Well here is the good news, we can use that to make changes that we want to in our lives. Think differently and you will look different, but you will also be different.
So find one area of your life that you want to change and tell yourself that you are going to think differently today.
I am always learning from the Barbarians, the funny think is that every time I think they may have missed something, I find a reference that says they knew about it. They really knew how to make the most of yourself.
Today I am going to think differently, I hope you will too.
With that I say:
Get the Barbarian Mind Set and keep it. Stay trĂș to yourself and your fam
