In life I find there are two types of people.
There are "lucky" people and then there are those who are perceived as "unlucky". I am sure that in your expat experiences around the world you have met both kinds and have friends or family back home who are either "lucky” or "unlucky”. Let's explore the differences between the two?
Maybe the main difference between us lucky or unlucky expats and home-residents is that those who are "lucky" BELIEVE that they are, THINK that they are and EXPECT good and "lucky" things to happen to them. The result is that it does because that is what they are looking for. "Unlucky" people think of themselves this way because of all the bad things that have happened to them in the past. They BELIEVE they are "unlucky", THINK they are and EXPECT that they will always be that way. Sure, they hope for good things, but expect bad things to happen. As a result bad things happen. It really is that simple, we receive what we expect.
"Lucky" people THINK, BELIEVE and EXPECT. "Unlucky" people also THINK, BELIEVE and EXPECT. So, why are the outcomes different? I believe that the difference is in the THOUGHT behind these words. What you think makes it true for you.
Life flows through us and it is forever changing. Have you explored the idea that it may just be that your destiny is not set in stone from the moment you were born. Could destiny truly be in your hands? Is it possible that HOW you decide to play this day out could determine your destiny for the day, the week and ultimately your future?
Your destiny is right now. What do you want to do with it? Things can be good and you can change things for the better, but
Your future is right here, right now ... in your thought. What thought do you hold at this moment? How are you shaping your destiny?
