Most humans realize that they lie somewhat at the tippy top of the food chain of animal life on Planet Earth. For this reason many have become egocentric in their ways. But what is it that makes humans unique? We do know that Human Beings are an extremely adapted species for surface dwellers on the Planet Earth or perhaps below its surface and they possess enough DNA extras to be a great baseline model to adapt for other needs and other worlds with modification of their mitochondria DNA.

Such a species like humans has a potential to remain at the top of the food chain for a long time, if it can get over some of the problems it creates for itself. That should be possible with time, assistance or a reality check. The species its self is a worthy marvel in organic engineering thru adaptation, evolution and/or other and makes a lot of sense. In hindsight it should not be surprising its status as a top of the food chain ranking in its animal

or higher mammal large complex organism category.

But still this does not answer the question and it is for this reason that a research group; call them the "Why are Humans Unique Project” is going to do experimental research to determine the answer once and for all. In fact the results may just startle many of us. Have you thought of such things? Perhaps you will consider this in 2006.
