The International Murdering Terrorists stung the United States during 9-11, as they attacked without provocation. This hit on our nation angered many citizens and woke us up to the fact that there are some pretty crazy radicals out there, that must be dealt with and cannot be ignored.

It is for this reason that our Online Think Tank ran some simulations to figure out how to defeat such actions against us. First we found twenty worst case scenarios and worked through how International Terrorists would have to go about it to pull something like this off, then we worked through how to prevent these acts. Below is one such scenario and how we are preventing it from happening. Worst Case Scenario number fourteen;

"International Terrorists take over a pilot (Tug) boat in the harbor of a major port or ports simultaneously, and take and oil tanker and run it a ground and then blow it up after blocking the harbor and running it aground. This is a triple kill for them, shuts down shipping, economically screws up everything, pollutes our water and fishing industries and the media will have a field day with another Valdez incident, meanwhile fuel prices go up. Remember the terrorists believe our wars and interests are all oil based.”

The reason why one think tanker thought this would be a potential plot is because of the incidents with the USS Cole and the hijacking of Aircraft into the trade center in combination. Using one of our pilot boats and equipment and ramming a ship or towing a ship into a support bridge structure or aground is possible. The International Terrorists could easily take over a freighter ship, without anyone knowing it. These people should be checked who hang

around the shipping points.

The tug boat and pilot operators should be on alert and asked to keep an eye out, also the Coast Guard should have leaflets and flyers warning those in the area. Also the customs people should be handing flyers to everyone who comes through to look out. I have been subscribing to the Industry News Journals since my company does wash boats it seems that this think tankers worst case scenario is possible. After 9-11 we did not see the sense of urgency in their industry, they were expecting this. Since then I have been studying this industry for a while, I did not see any real efforts there.

Today every foreign ship is boarded by the US Coast Guard before it comes into the harbor and each tug boat now has protocols, background checks and each ship has reference numbers to prevent someone sneaking onboard as a tug boat operator. We are now safe from this type of attack. The Department of Homeland Security is on top of things now. When we ran this worst-case scenario thru simulation, the International Terrorist teams were killed and defeated immediately. We are safer than you might think. Consider this in 2006.
