Due to the success of Space Ship One, the World Famous Space Craft and the fact that already 38,000 people have put down deposits and gotten themselves onto a waiting list for a $200,000.00 plus ride into space. Very excellent news for the commercial space flight industry, unfortunately the FAA is now moving to make regulations.
So far the regulations proposed are simple enough; Space Crews must have medical certificate and pilot's licenses. Companies must have liability insurance too, which is actually available thru Lloyds of London. The real problem is not necessarily these first set of proposed rules, the real problem is that once you start making rules and regulations, these agencies "ALWAYS” make more rules and it is never ending. It is as if it is job security. We should be hesitant to making rules this early in the game and if we do, we must add one rule to these proposed rules;
