I'm sure that many would agree that affiliate programs are the quickest way to make money on the internet. I'm also sure that many would agree that overnight success with any of the chosen programs is highly unrealistic. Don't get me wrong, it's very likely that you'll make money the day that you start. Working with affiliate programs can be very lucrative, but like anything else, it takes time.

Don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results with your chosen program. Keep at it. Keep in mind that a lot of your success depends on your means of getting the program "out there”, and the traffic that your website attracts. Stay away from shady methods of getting site traffic, and try only to aim for targeted visitors, also known as visitors who are in the market for whatever it is that you're selling. The last thing you want to do is look at your hit counter to find that you've got major traffic, and no sales. There's your sign that you're getting a lot of untargeted traffic.

If your site/product focuses on say, tennis, you want to attract tennis enthusiasts to your site, since those are the typ

es of people who will most likely be purchasing your product(s). You don't want to load up your site stats with visitors who aren't interested in purchasing your product. The point here is, after all, to make money. If I'm looking for information on starting my own business, I'm not particularly interested in purchasing tennis gear, and I would most likely leave the site almost immediately.

Follow the instructions of your program to the letter. Give it some time, and you're guaranteed to make money on the internet.
