Being male, when I signed up for various "work from home” forums, I never would have suspected that one of the benefits would be learning how women think when it comes to making money. Most times it varies wildly from my line of thought on the subject but this is more a benefit than a setback since it shows me ways of making money that I never would have thought of, or even have known about on my own.

Scented bath salts is one of those products that I was quite surprised to find that a lot of ladies are making money with, and they are doing so by learning how to make them. Now, being a guy, at first I thought that bath salt was the stuff left on the bottom of the tub when you were done taking a bath. Other men may have thought of filling up a tub, adding a little seasoning, hopping in and simmering until tender. As it turns out, bath salt is very well known amongst the ladies, and although it is a form of salt, it's not going to be making an appearance in your next soup.

They Are Easy To Make

I eventually found out (after being made fun of by several ladies) that scented bath salt is actually really easy to make. It is made from a salt base with fragrances and other healthy ingredients added to the mix. Essential oils can be added in for the relaxing homeopathic scent it provides which can have a soothing effect on mood. Adding this mixture to your bath can make your skin nicer too. By opening your pores, it releases all the stuff that gets in there, and you end up with soft, smooth skin.

They Have Healthy Benefits

There are quite a few benefits to putting bath salts in your bath, and some of these include relaxing sore, stiff muscles, or relieving minor sports or work related injuries. Now there are limitations here, as jumping into a tub full of salty water with open sores or wounds is not going to be very pleasant, so it's not a cure-all. But relaxing in a tub full of bath salts at the end of a rough day has been known to be effective with some people's arthritis, or even just muscle tension or aches. Now those are benefits most people can appreciate.

Keeping Out Of Trouble

Even though I'm not going to be taking many salts baths myself, I figure whipping up a batch of baths salts could give me a good supply of emergency birthday presents. The plan is to make a favorite bath salt recipe, put them in jars, and keep them in a bedroom closet. In addition to keeping the clothes smelling fresh, it's a good way to keep out of trouble for forgetting a birthday here and there. And don't tell me you haven't forgotten an occasion or two.

Making Money From A Relaxing Hobby

A lot of folks know just how relaxing a hobby that you enjoy can be. So it goes without saying that since bath salts are really easy to make, it can be extremely relaxing to do so. Before you know it, being so ea

sy to make, you may end up with a bulk supply of bath salts that you couldn't use up in an entire year. No problem! Since so many people either use them or give them for gifts, this becomes an opportunity for profit.

The Business Opportunity

It's fast, simple and not expensive at all to cook up a batch of bath salts. Whenever you can make something that sells for more than it costs for the ingredients, you've got yourself a business opportunity. Many folks are on the right track, but missing their opportunity when they sell bath salts made by major beauty products MLM companies. The one's making the real profits are the company, not the one doing all the hard work. They also don't usually have a lot of variety. When you make your own scented bath salts you can double or even triple your profit margin as well as make very personalized bath salts. If your customer wants bath salts in a certain shade or color combinations, you can give it to them. That's something the major MLM companies can't provide. The money can really add up when you're the one calling the shots.

An Untouched Market

Here's the catch. I've found that there really aren't a whole lot of books on the subject of making your own bath salts whether it be for your own enjoyment or for profits. That means that there are a lot of folks out there dealing with the trial and error way of figuring things out, which means frustration and never proceeding with what really is a good opportunity for making some extra money. Because of this, the market is really untapped.

Hopefully I've shown you that there is indeed a viable market for profiting by making bulk bath salts. It's important to always remember not to turn a blind eye on any method of making money because you'll miss out on a lot of profit potential. Now I'm going to hang out with the guys down at the local gathering place for our weekly boys night out. I usually end up buying my rounds with my bath salt money made on eBay. And they'll never know.
