A group of researchers in the UK have found that the risk of heart disease is doubled when the patients are also depressed.
Why is this?
From a strictly physiopathological standpoint these researchers found there to be irregularities in the function/structure of the inner lining of the arteries surrounding the heart.
I would like to offer a psycho spiritual explanation that draws on the work I have done over the last 10 years with a new modality called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP) with individuals who have suffered from depression.
From the viewpoint of MRP I conceptualize depression as a state where one's vital life energy has become depleted. Such depletion arises largely because an individual carries in their mind/body (or conscious and unconscious mind) negative beliefs, emotions and memories that parasitically consume that life energy.
Experientially this is evident when you allow yourself to re-experience one of these negative intruders. For example one commonly carried negative emotion is the "feeling of inadequacy". If you allow yourself to summon this up in yourself, and believe me it is there somewhere deep inside everyone simply by the fact that you know what I'm talking about, you will notice definite changes in your energy level occurring.
You will, if you are sufficiently aware of yourself notice yourself feeling tired, feeling heavy, drained and or depleted. This is a direct experience of having your vital life energy depleted.
So how does this relate to the heart?
Well the heart is the source of your vital life energy in both a physiological and an emotional sense.
Physiologically it pumps blood (the carrier of life energy; Oxygen) and supplies it to the rest of the body.
Emotionally it is the center of your being. It is where your passion for, joy for and enthusiasm for life originates and flows from.
Negative beliefs, emotions, and memories have the effect of directly feeding off of this positive energy and depleting it. When this happens the rest of you is deprived of necessary life giving physical and emotional energy. This not only weakens you but puts an added strain on the emotional and physical heart.
The strain can be such that it can severely tax the heart's ability to support the body and therefore you in life.
What is important to recognize here as well is that the "emotional heart" is not simply an abstract metaphor. It is as real as its physical counterpart and inextricably a part of it. The emotional heart is represented by the "emotional energy field" that surrounds the heart and which we ex
This energy field has morphological significance i.e. it is the "blueprint" upon which the physical heart is structured and functions.
Negative beliefs, emotions, and memories also carry their own energy field, one that is, as I said parasitic and disruptive to the heart energy field. This negativity, through one's life experience becomes stored throughout one's energy field and hence one's body.
Its presence within the individual has major disruptive effects on the energy field blueprint of the emotional heart and this "cascades" down into what is experienced as physiological illness e.g. heart disease in this case.
With MRP it is possible to uncover all negativity stored in the individual and release it quickly and easily. This has shown remarkable effects in restoring one's inner emotional balance, their life energy, their overall resilience and their joy and enthusiasm for life.
Modern medical approaches to treating such problems tend to address the problem at what I call "low levels" i.e. the physical level. If the emotional blueprint that is responsible for that problem is not addressed any structural changes will only serve temporarily.
