Shoes, shoes, shoes. Find me a woman who can resist them.

A recent survey which was conducted in the United Kingdom showed that women spend around £79,200 [$138,300] each on shoes over their lifetime - taking three months to shop for them.

More than half have owned five pairs they have not worn. A third have so many pairs they have lost count and the thousands of women who participated in the survey said "nothing else in your wardrobe makes you feel so fabulous”.

There are so many different styles and designs launched every season it's just too hard to choose. We all have those impulse buys where you just fall in love with a pair. Then there are those you buy that you find you only ever wear a couple of times because they are just too high or too impractical but what makes a great pair of shoes?

Is it the heel, the design, the material, the style perhaps? Is it because they are in fashion, flat, boring, bright, colourful or dazzling perhaps? A great pair of shoes is really what they are to you.

Take a flat and very plain looking shoe. For someone those will be a great pair of shoes. Take a bright high heel with lots of detail, those will be a great pair of shoes. Take boots, tennis shoes, slippers, loa

fers, pumps, sandals, thongs and every shoe you can think of and they are all, in their own right, great pairs of shoes.

The greatness is in the eye of the beholder. Whatever shoes you buy are a direct result of who you are as a person. Believe it or not our actions are a direct result of our feelings and our feelings are a direct result of our attitudes. When choosing shoes there is no variation to this theory. Shoes make you feel so fabulous because there is part of you shouting from your feet. They are a very personal choice and say absolutely everything about you.
