Many have noticed the world over that many governments are moving past or away from religion; well at least the most successful ones. In the United States we have a separation of Church and State and that works good for us. Surely there are times we must work together for the common good, as each; religion and government has its place and is good (well good enough) at what it does over the other.

To say that governments are moving away from religion; oh, well yes it is true that most governments are moving away from their religions. Some, myself included think this is wonderful as so many of these religions are absolutely problematic. Additionally we need to discuss the civilizations laws and which religions are in place and how they conflict to adequately discuss this topic. In nations with only one religion there can be quite huge issues with civil rights, pursuit of happiness and self-determination issues.

In the United Sates we have so many religions and therefore no one has claimed power over the government. Our system of laws

in the US are a somewhat good model although need refinement and perhaps other nations can learn from us as they distance themselves from the religions that previously ruled over them. We really need one set of worldwide laws as the world is getting closer together every decade. Even Bird Flu knows no boundaries. If religion left our Earth it could perhaps be a much nicer place. Consider the reasons and the value in the separation of church and state and the religious freedom in the United States.
