Frugal Weekly

What individual or household couldn't use some extra money? Well, the smartest way to boost your income is to reduce your expenses. Frugal living… yes, for many it is a scary phrase. Thoughts of scouring garbage cans or washing plastic bags come to mind. Even if embracing the idea of living in a frugal mindset is too overwhelming, why not simply use a few frugal tips to enhance your lifestyle?

A great example of the kind of frugal advice you receive would be January's tip #2: If you require that java jolt each morning, you must also notice the additional jolt to your wallet. Well, start saving money on coffee today. No, I promise not to force you to kick the habit, even though that would do the trick! There are many other actions to save money and still enjoy that steaming cup of obsession. The crucial step is to resist buying out and enjoy your coffee from home. If you must have the taste tangling enjoyment of fancy coffee, create a similar effect from your own private barista. The fancy creamers and other tools will be worth their weight in gold if they keep you from visiting the local coffee house. Then, once you have resisted the fancy coffee, you can save more with these additional money saving tips at home.

* Use the cheaper brands of coffee or if the taste is too bitter, at least cut half of your coffee grinds with a cheaper version.

* For each additional pot you brew, you do not have to start over with new grounds. Use the same amount of water, keep the original grounds in the filter and add 1/2 of the grounds you used for the first batch.

* Invest in reusable filter.

* Any leftover coffee save for iced coffee later.
