Why would anyone take on the role of a nursing assistant? It's a terribly underpaid job and anyone who works as a nursing assistant will tell you it's a hard and thankless undertaking.

People take on the role of Nursing Assistant for many reasons. Some decide they would like to change career; whereas others misguidedly think the work is glamorous and that could meet a good-looking doctor (Honestly)!!! However, others pursue a career as a nursing assistant because they want to help people and care for them.

It's not everyone's perfect career choice to become a nursing assistant and any potential employer must emphasize to a possible employees that they will be expected to work hard work is hard and that their efforts will often go unrecognized, especially by their patients. Some people occasionally embark on this type of career with a romantic view, and are shocked when they find out what the job really involves.

Due to the poor salaries paid to nursing assistants, many hospitals are finding it hard to find and retain good quality caring staff for nursing assistant's

positions. The long hours and low wages nursing assistants are subjected to often leads to frustration and weariness, and many people leave their jobs in bitter disillusionment.

It is now vitally important that nursing assistants are recognized for the care they give to their patients. Many developed countries including the UK and the US will suffer future crisis due to the shortage of high quality, well trained nursing assistants. If this is not addressed in the very near future, the quality of nursing care available for those in hospital or care homes will soon be badly compromised
