Our modern life, work, and leisure are impossible without cell phones. It is probably one of the best inventions of the last century. It is chip, available, and easy to use almost for everyone, and definitely very comfortable. For these reasons millions of people do not imagine their lives without the cell phones from schoolchildren to senior citizens.

Whatever the opponents of the cell phones say, there is nothing as comfortable for communication on a distance, as a cell phone. It is useful both for business and free time. There have already been many occasions when a cell phone saved a person's live. It helps parents to keep track of their children. It has helped to save hostages and to find skiers with broken legs.

There are opponents of cell phones, like Chip Johnson for example, who argue that they do not want to be reached at certain points of time. There are time sand situations when people just do not want to talk with anyone else. There are times when it is just not appropriate or even dangerous to talk on the phone and distract one's attention from, say, driving a car. There is a very simple solution to such problem that a cell phone itself offers - just switch it off when you do not feel like talking.

It really might be dangerous when people lead a very important communication over a cell phone and distract their attention from driving. One of the solutions is to prohibit the usage of cell phones while driving or at least on dangerous parts of the roads. It does not mean that we have to abolish cell phones at all. They are absolutely not dangerous when used properly. The solution to talking in a car is as simple as that - if you desperately need to talk - stop, talk, and then continue to drive.

Cell phone is an inevitable part of our modern quick-paced life

. It helps to save tremendous amount of time, to make important decisions quicker, and help to stay in touch for people who do not have much time for personal relations. Chip Johnson says that we soon may "forget the sound of hand clapping.” The spread of cell phones does not mean that there is less of personal communication. Many of us spend much time working and studying and cannot find time to meet relatives or old friends. Without cell phones, there is a chance, we would become even more isolated and not able to stay in touch with many people.

Cell phones are irreplaceable for businessmen. They help to make important decisions, find necessary people and information in an instant. Cell phones save valuable time of businessmen and officials. They do not have to be at many places at the same time. A phone call is enough.

In our extremely mobile society, it is very difficult to place necessary people and find old friends. With cell phone, this task is becoming as easy as never.

It is hard to think of area of our life when a cell phone may not come into use. It is making our global society even smaller and people in different countries closer to each other. There is no way back - we cannot live without cell phones anymore. They became as important part of our life as car, computer, or the Internet.
