Walking out of a Job Interview is not as difficult as one might believe. It is actually an easy task that requires Confidence and Assurance within yourself.
Why would you allow an Arrogant Interviewer to waste your time telling you all about themselves and their lives, instead of the company and the position that you applied for? Why would you allow an Incompetent Interviewer to waste your time talking about nothing, because they know nothing. Why would you allow a Flirtatious Interviewer to flirt with you all the way through the entire Interview? Why would you allow an Envious Female Interviewer to waste your time attempting to subtly disrespect you? You are allowing them to do so because you don't really want to make a bad impression. Some people think that just because they are seeking a job, they are at the mercy of the Interviewer. That is a bunch of crap. The Interviewee always have the upper hand in the Job Interviewing Process.
It is quite okay to get up and walk out! If you don't want to be rude about it, granted you weren't treated rudely, just kindly explain to the Interviewer that you just don't think that the position is one of great challenge to you and the company may not allow you to perform at your full potential. There are no rules that say that you can't get up and walk away and walk out of a Job Interview. Your time is just as valuable and just as important as the person that is interviewing you.
I have walked out and away from many Job Interviews, before starting my own business. The reasons vary and it all boils down to this bottom line...............”My Time Is Valuable!” I wasn't rude to any of the Interviewers. I just explained that I thought that I was over qualified for a particular position. You should be up-front and honest during the Initial Interview because if you end up getting that job, you won't be happy anyway, and you'll be looking for another job. The position just didn't present itself as a challenge to me.
Now most people may see that as arrogant, but I assure you it is me being and displaying the Confidence and Assurance of my Qualifications, Cr
The saying goes................... "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.”
