Super Cross Stadium dirt bike races are by far the most exciting sport to watch and some spectacular accidents often occur. One major accident and the rider is paralyzed for life. In fact there is one rule of thumb in motorcycle racing and that is unless you are a factory sponsored rider then chances are you cannot afford to pay for your own medical bills to continue racing.

Often in stadium racing the hoopty doos are spaced fairly far apart and very steep. If you plan on going fast you need to plan to hit the doubles and triples in sequence or risk breaking your balls. In doing so the riders often catch huge air and rocket skyward some 30 to 40 feet in the air risking life and limb. It must give their mothers heart attacks, but for the rest of us we cheer them on between our hotdogs and beer and we like the rest of the crowds roar for more. Well, I propose instant deployable airbags on the fronts and backs of these rider's leathers. If they came off the bike traveling 50 mph at 30-40 feet they simply deploy it and hope for the best as they land like the NASA Mars rover and bounce off the hard dirt track. We could still enjoy the event, but no one would die or be injured for life and then maybe they would take more risks and we could watch some greater spills. We all win. Think on this in 2006.
