Winner Or Loser

Without knowing the exact facts, it's easy to categorize gamblers into three categories: Big Winner Small Loser/Winner Big Loser

The big mass of the gamblers is, ofcourse, in the last category, "Big Loser". I would say that about 90-95% of the gamblers fits into this category. When reading "Big" you should read it as procent of the money won or lost. Even if someone just plays for $10 for his or hers entire life, wins and dubbels it, is a "Big Winner". You see, the person bets $10 and comes out with $20, so his or hers net profit is 100%. That being said, the difference between a "Big Winner" and a "Big Loser" can be quite small.

Let's say you are a small stake Texas Holdem player, your net profit per month is about +5% of your bankroll. So if you started with a deposit of $100, first month you would go +$5 which would rise your bankroll to $105, next month $110.5 and so on. To go from $100 to $200 takes between 13 - 14 months if your net profit is +5% per month. What about if you started with $200? In 13 - 14 months, starting with $200 and

a net profit of +5% per month, you would have between $380 - $400 in bankroll.

This is another exampel, but here your net profit is -5% per month and your deposit was $100. After a year, your bankroll would have gone down to $50-$55, which is almost 50% of your starting bankroll. Lets now say that you got a bonus of $100, so your starting bankroll would be $200 with the same net profit per month. After a year now, you would still have $108.

This is why bonuses are so important when you start building your bankroll. Bonuses can turn a "Big Loser" into a "Small Winner", or a "Small Loser" into a "Big Winner".
